Note:
Since August 2016 we have been posting monthly water usage values in litres.  There are a couple of reasons for this change;
  • Canada operates on the metric system
  • For many people a litre is a more familiar unit of measure than a gallon
  • Equipment such as meters and tanks come in US Gallons or Imperial gallons depending on the supplier so using litres is a way to have a common measure.

The expectation of the District is that homeowners will not exceed 15,000 litres in a month.
This is an upper limit as most homes with 2 full time residents will be in the 7,000 to 10,000 litre range.

Any homeowner using more than 15,000 litres in a month will receive a letter alerting them to this higher than average usage.
